How it works
Five steps from consultation to first lesson.
01
Consultation.
A 20-minute call with our team — goals, instrument, frequency, scheduling window. No commitment.
02
Trainer match.
We propose two trainers whose specialism and personality fit your goals. You pick.
03
First lesson.
Trainer visits, assesses level, agrees a curriculum plan with you. No long lock-in.
04
Weekly rhythm.
Same day, same time, same trainer every week. Practice plan emailed after each session.
05
Termly review.
Progress check every 12 weeks — pace, repertoire, exam readiness. Adjust as needed.
Areas we serve
Nine areas across Nairobi & Kiambu, weekly.
01
Muthaiga.
Embassy district, low-density residential, generations of musical households. Our trainers know Muthaiga well — many of our long-standing students are in the area.

02
Kileleshwa.
Family-oriented residential, well-served by the Westlands corridor, with many of our students continuing their music education into ABRSM grades alongside school-day commitments.

03
Kilimani.
Central, vertically dense, mixed-use — many of our Kilimani students are adults on the keyboard or voice track, learning around full work schedules. Apartment-friendly instruments (digital piano, classical guitar, voice) work especially well here.

04
Upperhill.
Mixed residential and business district. Many of our Upperhill students are working professionals — finance, law, NGOs — taking weekly piano, guitar or voice lessons as a counterweight to demanding workdays.

05
Milimani.
Established residential, multi-generational families, often with several children at different stages of learning. Many Milimani families take advantage of our family-bundle discount for siblings.

06
Karen.
Leafy, spacious and family-oriented — Karen homes have the room for acoustic pianos and full setups that apartment suburbs cannot. Many of our Karen students are children on piano, violin or voice, often with siblings learning alongside them.

07
Lavington.
Established, residential and green — a mix of family homes and gated townhouses. Lavington students range from young beginners on piano and violin to adults returning to an instrument, with space at home for most setups.

08
Kiambu.
A growing county town with a strong family base — many of our Kiambu students are school-age children on piano, keyboard and guitar, with a good number of adult and worship-music learners too. Most homes have room for a full setup.

09
Kiambu Road.
A fast-growing corridor of gated communities, townhouses and apartments. Students here span young beginners, exam-track children and adult learners — apartment-friendly instruments (digital piano, classical guitar, voice) and full home setups both work well.

Frequently asked
About in-home tuition.
01How does in-home tuition work?+
A single vetted trainer visits your home weekly on a fixed day and time. Same trainer every week, same standards and curriculum as our Kikuyu studio. You provide the instrument (we will advise); we handle the rest.
02Which suburbs do you cover?+
Muthaiga, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Upperhill, Milimani, Karen, Lavington, Kiambu and Kiambu Road — each with its own page outlining typical slots and route notes. Outside these, we recommend online lessons or visiting our Kikuyu studio.
03How does pricing compare to your Kikuyu studio?+
In-home tuition is premium — reflecting trainer travel, exclusive scheduling and single-trainer continuity. Specific rates are shared at the consultation once we understand your goals, instrument and frequency.
04Are your trainers vetted?+
Every trainer carries Concerto photo ID, undergoes a background check, and is briefed on safeguarding for working with under-18 students. Qualifications and prior-student references shared at consultation.
05Can siblings learn together at home?+
Yes — and our multi-child discount applies. We typically schedule siblings back-to-back so the trainer makes one trip. Some families also do parallel sessions where a parent learns alongside a child.
