Why Concerto
No surprises
The per-session rate is the whole price. No tied contracts, no notice periods, no fine print — and the only separate cost is the ABRSM exam fee itself, when you choose to enter.
Sibling rate
When siblings from one family enrol together, each pays a flat per-session rate instead of the standard rate — the more siblings, the lower the rate. Applies for as long as the siblings are studying with us.
KES 1,500
per session, 2 siblings
KES 1,400
per session, 3+ siblings
Flexible time slots
Every studio, online, and vocal lesson can be booked as a 30, 45, or 60-minute slot — each priced on its own, not a percentage off. A parent of a young child, for example, simply books the 30-minute slot.
ABRSM examinations
As an authorised ABRSM examination centre, we register students for ABRSM's exams — theory and practical, across all grades. ABRSM exams are now online, so your student can sit theirs at any time of year rather than waiting for a fixed sitting date. Exam fees are set by ABRSM and are payable separately from lesson fees, at the time of entry.
We won't enter a student before they're ready. Ahead of every exam entry we run a mock exam under real conditions, and we only recommend entry once you're scoring comfortably above the pass mark — so you're never paying an entry fee just to find out. How we check you're ready →
Current ABRSM exam fees.
ABRSM sets and updates exam fees directly — see their official, always-current fee schedule for Kenya rather than a number we'd have to keep in sync ourselves.
Confirm your grade and entry deadline with our registrar before exam entry. Read the full ABRSM guide.
Pricing FAQ
You pay per session at the time of booking, plus a one-time KES 500 registration fee when you first enrol. We never charge enrolment fees or term-upfront amounts. Cancel any time, no notice period.
Yes — cancel up to 24 hours before the session and we move it to another slot or refund it in full. Cancellations inside 24 hours forfeit the session fee, which is how we keep the trainer's time protected.
Your first session with us is free — a full discovery session, at the time slot of your choice, with a trainer's full attention. We use it to assess fit, recommend an instrument and format, and answer the questions parents have before committing. No enrolment pressure at the end; we follow up in writing.
Yes — when two or more children from one family enrol together, the second child onward gets a discount on the session rate. Applies to all five formats above. See the sibling block above for the current rate.
Yes — you simply book the 30-minute slot for any format at booking time. It's priced on its own, not a discount off the 60-minute rate, so there's nothing extra to ask for. Shorter sessions suit a young learner's attention span better than a full 60 minutes.
We don't require termly payment, but families who prefer the predictability can pre-pay any number of sessions at the standard rate via M-Pesa or card. Sessions stay in your account until used.
Exam fees are paid directly through our centre at the time of entry, separate from your lesson fees. We handle the registration with ABRSM and notify you of the sitting date once your entry is confirmed.
M-Pesa (Family Bank paybill 247247), Visa and Mastercard via Paystack, and cash on arrival at the studio. For in-home and online lessons, we recommend M-Pesa or card.
No hidden fees — the per-session rate is the full lesson price, and every cost is stated up front. Sheet music, exam preparation, recital participation, and use of studio instruments are all included. The only separate costs are the one-time KES 500 registration fee at enrolment, the ABRSM exam fee itself (when you choose to enter), and any instrument you buy or hire.

The first lesson is the cheapest decision you'll make this term. Book it; the rest follows.
