In-home tuition · Kileleshwa
A trainer at your door, in Kileleshwa.
For Kileleshwa families who want to give their children a serious music education without the school-run logistics — a single, vetted trainer who arrives at your home on the same day every week, with the same standards and curriculum as our Kikuyu studio.
The neighbourhood
Why we know Kileleshwa.
Family-oriented residential, well-served by the Westlands corridor, with many of our students continuing their music education into ABRSM grades alongside school-day commitments.
Our trainers reach Kileleshwa via Waiyaki Way — typically a 30-minute drive from Kikuyu outside peak hours. Mid-morning and weekend slots are ideal; weekday late-afternoons fill quickly so we recommend booking ahead.
Slots that work
When trainers visit Kileleshwa.
Slot suggestions tuned to the route and rhythm of this suburb. We adjust to your schedule — these are the common patterns that work, not constraints.
01
Weekday mornings (10:00 – 12:00).
Ideal for pre-school children, home-schooled students, and adults working from home. Trainer beats school-run traffic both directions.
02
Weekday late afternoons (16:00 – 18:00).
The most common slot for school-age children. Limited availability; book early in the term.
03
Saturday mornings (09:00 – 13:00).
Weekend favourites for families with multiple children — siblings often have back-to-back lessons same morning.
Before you book
Frequently asked.
01How long has Concerto served Kileleshwa?+
Concerto has been teaching in-home in Kileleshwa since 2018. We have current students preparing for everything from ABRSM Grade 1 to Grade 8, and several families with multiple children all learning at once.
02Will my child have the same trainer every week?+
Yes. Trainer continuity is non-negotiable for our at-home programme — once you are matched, that trainer is yours weekly. If your trainer is unwell, we offer a make-up session rather than rotate strangers through your home.
03Do I need to provide an instrument?+
For piano and keyboard, yes — we can advise on what to buy or rent if you do not already own one. For guitar, violin and voice, smaller setups are usually fine; we will confirm what you need at the consultation.
04How is the trainer screened and vetted?+
Every trainer carries Concerto photo ID, undergoes a background check, and is briefed on safeguarding before working with under-18 students. We can share the trainer's qualifications and prior-student references at the consultation.
05Can siblings learn together?+
Yes — and our multi-child discount applies. We typically schedule siblings back-to-back so the trainer makes one trip; some families do parallel sessions (a parent learning alongside the child) which is rewarding for both.
06How does in-home pricing compare to your studio?+
In-home tuition carries a premium reflecting trainer travel, exclusive scheduling and single-trainer continuity. Specific rates are shared at the initial consultation once we understand your goals and lesson frequency.
