In-home tuition · Kilimani
A trainer at your door, in Kilimani.
For Kilimani residents — families, working professionals and adult learners — who want serious music tuition without leaving the apartment block. A single vetted trainer arrives weekly with the same curriculum we teach at our Kikuyu studio.
The neighbourhood
Why we know Kilimani.
Central, vertically dense, mixed-use — many of our Kilimani students are adults on the keyboard or voice track, learning around full work schedules. Apartment-friendly instruments (digital piano, classical guitar, voice) work especially well here.
Our trainers reach Kilimani via Ngong Road or Argwings Kodhek — typically 30–40 minutes from Kikuyu outside peak hours. Late-afternoon and weekend slots dominate; mid-morning is excellent if you work from home.
Slots that work
When trainers visit Kilimani.
Slot suggestions tuned to the route and rhythm of this suburb. We adjust to your schedule — these are the common patterns that work, not constraints.
01
Weekday mornings (10:00 – 12:00).
Excellent for work-from-home adults, freelancers, and home-schooled children.
02
Weekday evenings (18:00 – 20:00).
Most popular for working professionals — trainer arrives after the commute home.
03
Saturday & Sunday (10:00 – 16:00).
Weekend slots are highly flexible. Good for adults who prefer longer 1.5-hour sessions and for children whose weekday schedules are packed.
Before you book
Frequently asked.
01I live in an apartment — will the neighbours mind?+
Digital piano and keyboard are silent with headphones — no issue at all. Acoustic piano can be voiced down (we will advise). Guitar (classical or electric with headphone amp) and voice (we keep volume modest indoors) rarely cause problems. Drums are not practical in apartments unless you have a mesh-head electronic kit.
02How does building access work for the trainer?+
We provide your building security with the trainer's name, photo, and vehicle plates before each visit. Trainers carry Concerto photo ID. Most Kilimani buildings have visitor protocols our trainers know well.
03Will my trainer be the same every week?+
Yes. Trainer continuity is core to our at-home programme — once matched, that trainer is yours weekly. If your trainer is unwell, we offer a make-up session rather than send a substitute.
04I work full-time — what time slots are realistic?+
Most working-adult students take evening slots (18:00–20:00) or Saturday mornings. We are flexible — your trainer's schedule is built around the time that works for you, not the other way around.
05Do I need to own an instrument?+
For piano and keyboard, yes. We can advise on what to buy — a Yamaha P-45 or Roland FP-10 (around KES 65,000) is a perfect apartment-friendly starter digital piano. For guitar, violin and voice, smaller setups are usually fine.
06How does pricing compare to your studio?+
In-home tuition carries a premium reflecting trainer travel and single-trainer continuity. Specific rates are shared at the consultation once we understand your goals and frequency.
