Karen runs on a different rhythm to the rest of Nairobi — quieter, the family routines lean toward after-school activities, and the gated estates favour the in-home model. Our Karen trainer arrives on the same weekday afternoon each week; the lesson happens at your piano (or our portable one), with online as the backup when the family is travelling. Students from Brookhouse, Hillcrest, Banda and St Christopher's are particularly well-represented.
We've been teaching out of Kikuyu since 2016 — Concerto's roots are right here in this corner of Kiambu.

Children from age 6, teens and adults — beginners to ABRSM Grade 8. The first lesson is a discovery session: you tell us where you're starting from and we plan from there.
05Do you prepare students for ABRSM Keyboard exams?+
Yes. We're an ABRSM-aligned music school and run entries for keyboard from Initial through Grade 8. Mock exam days are scheduled before each session.
06Do I need my own keyboard at home?+
Helpful but not required to start. We have instruments at the studio for in-person lessons. If you decide to continue, we'll help you pick the right one to bring home.
07Can I switch from in-person to online if I can't travel one week?+
Yes. Tell your trainer 24 hours ahead and they'll set up the online room for the week. The session price doesn't change.
